MYCAR™2 Now Supports Dashcam Integration
MYCAR™2 is expanding its capabilities with built-in dashcam support, bringing even more control and convenience to your vehicle experience.
To use this new feature, you’ll need to pair your MYCAR™2 device with a Thinkware F790AIR dashcam and a TGM module, both available through authorized retailers. Once installed and configured by your retailer, the camera icon will become active within the MYCAR™2 application.
Accessing Your Dashcam Footage
Tapping the camera icon in the app opens access to your recorded events and downloaded videos. You can also request an Instant View, which retrieves a short five-second clip directly from your dashcam. This video will take a few moments to transfer and will automatically notify you once it’s available for viewing. All videos remain stored on the server for six months, and can be downloaded to your mobile device using the download arrow icon.
Parking and Crash Event Notifications
In addition to live and on-demand video, MYCAR™2 will notify you whenever a parking or crash event is detected. You’ll have 15 minutes to accept and download the event video through the app. After that time, playback will only be available via the Dashcam Link application.
Each event video includes 5 seconds before and 15 seconds after the incident, ensuring you capture the full context. Like other recordings, these clips are stored on the server for six months and can be downloaded at any time for safekeeping or review.
